Chris Spheeris & Paul Voudouris - Enchantment



Chris Spheeris is a Greek-American New-Age composer. Inspired by the sacred and folk music of his Greek heritage and other world music, classical music, and pop, Spheeris fused these elements together into his own unique musical style. The folk aspects of his music were prominent early in his career as part of a duo with guitarist and composer Paul Voudouris in the '70s and early '80s.

ENCHANTMENT, his 1991 collaboration with long-time creative partner Paul Voudouris, moved the Spanish public in platinum numbers. There is a magic to this appropriately titled recording that eludes description. After half a million sales, ENCHANTMENT has become a New-Age classic. These pieces have shown up around the world on news programs, radio and tv spots, films, videos, and the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Hi! I'm the Spanish guy who uploaded Enchantment to YouTube.

I must say that Enchantment is one of the most beautiful songs that I have ever listened. I have listened to it during all my life (I'm 17), in some TV and radio programs.
Enchantment was used for a successful radio program called Turno de noche, which is now La Rosa de los Vientos. Those two programs were leaded by Juan Antonio Cebrián, one of the greatest commentators in the history of Spain, who died almost a year ago.
Every time I listen to Enchantment I remember him, and I also remember moments of my past...

PD: By the way, I can read Greek, but I hardly understand a few words. I have studied Ancient Greek these last two years, and I can translate some words. But I know that Greek (like almost all languages) evolved :D

Despite of the fact that the CD is almost a masterpiece, only Enchantment is a well-known song in Spain, because of some reasons that I exposed in my first post.
