"Στις άλλες πλευρές, το τέμενος του Διονύσου περικλειόταν από περίβολο κατασκευασμένο από κογχυλιάτη λίθο, από τον οποίο  σήμερα σώζεται μέρος του νότιου και ανατολικού τμήματος".

Το έψαξα στο google με διάφορες ορθογραφίες, αλλά χωρίς αποτέλεσμα.

Υποθέτω, λόγω ορθογραφίας, ότι πιθανώς να σχετίζεται με το κογχύλι (ή κογχύλη), αλλά μέχρι εκεί.
Σας λέει κάτι ως τύπος λίθου??

Μήπως conchoidal (κογχοειδής ??) δηλαδή με κοψίματα ή σχήματα που θυμίζουν κογχύλι?

Νίκο, ή εγώ δεν είμαι καλά ή δεν ξέρω κι εγώ τι συμβαίνει...
Τόση ώρα ψάχνω στο google για κογχυλιάτης/ κογχολιάτης/ κοχυλάτης/ κογχυ και ότι άλλο μπορείς να φανταστείς και δεν μου βγαίνει μισό αποτέλεσμα...

Αυτό πριν θέσω το ερώτημά μου.

Μη ρωτήσεις για το cockle stone. Ούτε αυτό συνηθίζεται.
