I have a handwritten ancient Greek phrase from a document from 1891.

I am for some reason unable to download the Greek fonts.  All I get is an error message.

The phrase is handwritten in all capitals with diacritical marks that do not match those that seem to be in the fonts.

Is there any way I can post the phrase as written and get some help?

I have the picture, but can't for the life of me figure out how to post it.  Also, should I post it here or in the Ancient Greek to English translation forum?

Please post in the Modern Greek->English translation forum.  If the document is really from 1891, it isn't ancient Greek.  Ancient Greek refers to the first millennium BC or AD.  (Of course, if it's quoting ancient Greek, then it belongs in the Ancient Greek-English forum.)

The document was written in 1891 by a then college student who supposedly was writing ancient Greek.

Then Ancient Greek->English it is!  You could try imitating the letters by using Roman capitals (never mind the diacriticals).  We might be able to guess from that what the phrase is.

That rule doesn't apply to your case.
If the photo is a jpg on your desktop, just click on "Reply", then "Attachments & other options," then "Choose file."  That should bring up your desktop.  Then click on your photo.

There is no choose file option when I click on Attachments and other options.

I'm sorry, but there isn't enough information in the link for me to figure out what to do.  I just tried, and it obviously didn't work. Is there somewhere more of a step by step explanation for internet morons like me?

Thanks!  Now, how do I do this in the translation forum?  Sorry to be such a pain.  What did I do wrong when trying to post the link?
