Όσο παράξενο και να φαίνεται, η αρχική σημασία της λέξης
νταρντάνα παραπέμπει σε ιστιοφόρο αλιευτικό σκάφος με πολύ πλούσια εξάρτιση στο μοναδικό ιστό (κατάρτι) που διαθέτει. Μοιάζει με το τρεχαντήρι. Επειδή οι νταρντάνες ήταν σκάφη φαρδιά με καμπύλες, ο όρος καθιερώθηκε στην καθημερινή γλώσσα ως χαρακτηρισμός που εμπεριέχει περισσότερο θαυμασμό και λιγότερο πειρακτική διάθεση για τις εύσωμες αλλά καλλίγραμμες γυναίκες. Η λέξη
νταρντάνα στα λεξικά απαντάται πλέον μόνο για το χαρακτηρισμό του γυναικείου σωματότυπου.

[d-t > d-d]] Tartana is villa from the begining of the XX century, built in austrian style. It’s situated by the lower road (seafront) in Dobota, between the St. Mathew church and Institute of Marine Biology, 2,5 km away from old town Kotor. It faces the sea, so our guests can feel the morning sea smell. It’s named after a type of sailing ship that was typical for this part of Mediterranean in XVIII century. It has a big terrace, yard, garden, it’s own pier and house ghost living at the attic. There are eight rooms, and they are named after the local names for winds. Every wind carries a different mood and spirit, passions and obsessions. Four rooms have a sea view and four rooms face the garden. It also has it’s own well and water supplying, so making love under a shower is possible any part of a day.
