Κατηγορίες σωματικής ικανότητας στον ελληνικό στρατό
Ι1Οι στρατεύσιμοι φέρουν οπλισμό και συμμετέχουν σε όλες της δραστηριότητες. Μόνο μέλη αυτής της κατηγορίας μπορούν να επιλεγούν για Στρατονομία, Προεδρική Φρουρά και Ειδικές Δυνάμεις
Ι2Οι στρατεύσιμοι φέρουν οπλισμό και συμμετέχουν σε όλες της δραστηριότητες
Ι3Οι στρατεύσιμοι που δεν είναι Ι3Σ (Συναισθηματικότητα) φέρουν οπλισμό και συμμετέχουν σε όλες της δραστηριότητες όπως και οι κατηγορίες Ι1 και Ι2
Ι4Οι στρατεύσιμοι δεν φέρουν οπλισμό και δεν συμμετέχουν σε ασκήσεις. Εκτελούν μόνο άοπλες υπηρεσίες
Ι5Οι στρατεύσιμοι απαλλάσσονται της στράτευσης

1-AAvailable for unrestricted military service.
1-A-OConscientious objector available for noncombatant military service only.
1-CMember of the Armed Forces of the United States, the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration, or the Public Health Service.
1-D-DDeferment for certain members of a reserve component or student taking military training.
1-D-EExemption for certain members of a reserve component or student taking military training.
1-HRegistrant Not Subject to Processing for Induction. Registrant is not
subject to processing for induction until a draft is enacted.
All current registrants are classified 1-H until they reach the age of exemption,
when they then receive the classification of 5-A.
1-OConscientious objectors opposed to both combatant &
noncombatant military training & service.
Fulfills service obligation as a civilian alternative service worker.
1-O-SAny registrant who has been separated from the Armed Forces
(including their reserve components) by reason of conscientious objection
to participation in both combatant and noncombatant training and service
in the Armed Forces. Fulfills service obligation as a civilian alternative
service worker.
1-WConscientious objector currently performing assigned alternative service.
They must serve for a set period of time equal to their owed
national service (currently 24 consecutive months).
2-DDivinity student; deferred from military service.
3-AHardship deferment; deferred from military service
because service would cause hardship upon their families
3-A-SHardship deferment; separated from military service
because service would cause hardship upon their families
4-ARegistrant who has completed military service;
may be recalled to service in time of war or national emergency.
4-BOfficial deferred by law.
4-CAlien or dual national; sometimes exempt from military service.
4-DMinisters of religion; exempted from military service.
4-FRegistrant not acceptable for military service.
4-GRegistrant exempted from service because of the death of
his parent or sibling while serving in the Armed Forces or whose parent or sibling
is in a captured or missing in action status.
4-TTreaty Alien. Registrant is alien exempt from military service
under a treaty between the United States and his country,
and has applied to be exempted from liability for training
and service in the Armed Forces of the United States.
4-WConscientious objector who has satisfactorily completed
their alternative service (currently a period of 24 consecutive months).
4-A-ARegistrant who has performed military service for a foreign nation.
