ὦ ὁπλῖτα, εἴθε μὴ ἀποβάλοις τὰ ὅπλα. ἅμα γὰρ ταῦτα ἀποβαλὼν οὔτ' ἄν ποτ' ἐν μάχῃ σωθείης οὔτε καλῶς ἀκούσει ποτέ. μένων οὖν ἐνταῦθα δόξης ἀξιώθητι.
My translation: Hoplite, I wish you would not throw weopons for while throwing these things, you would niether be saved in battle nor have a good reputition. Therefore while remaining, be worthy of glory.
I think "ἀποβάλοις" is optative of wish.
