From what I understand, this is the name of a rather disreputable town... (transliterated: Galinoporni)

Τhe correct spelling (though not the most popular) is Γαληνόπωρνη and the name seems to come from γαλήνη and πρωινή (πωρνή in the Cypriot dialect means 'morning'; nothing to do with the Greek word 'porni', prostitute), that is, the transquillity of the morning. The Turks claim that the name comes from the Turkish words 'kale' (fortress, castle) and 'burnu' (nose, tip, cape), hence their name for it (Kale Burnu or Kaleburnu).
