Is anyone aware of the phrase "c'est du gadget," implying that something (a concept? a solution? an object?) is gimmicky, not substantive, has no real foundation?  Or does the phrase imply something slightly different?

And, can anyone point me to a usage of this phrase?

Thanks!

Hello gwijthoff :-)

We are happy to help you, but really need more context to give you the exact meaning in the phrase. Could you give us the full sentence?
