"Having become," "having been born."  Masculine singular nominative perfect active participle of γίγνομαι, "be born," "become."  Cf. LSJ s.v.:
part. γεγᾰώς -ᾰυῖα, pl. -ᾰῶτες, -ᾰυῖαι Hom., etc., contr. γεγώς, -ῶσα S. Aj. 472, E. Med. 406.
